THE TITANIUM
EXPOSURE sonic
photography project grew out of Titanium Exposé,
a music fanzine created and produced by CHRIS WOO in the
late '90s. Although he no longer publishes the fanzine, its spirit survives
and thrives
in the many publications and websites that have printed
his photos. Some of these include The
San Diego Reader, The Village Voice, The
Washington Post, The Stranger, San Diego
City Beat, Fahrenheit San Diego, Uptown/The
Gay & Lesbian Times, Rockpile and The
OC Weekly. Photos have also been featured on album artwork for
innovative rock bands KILL ME TOMORROW, TENDER BUTTONS, THE
PEPPERMINTS, SLEEPING PEOPLE, D
YELLOW SWANS and on a few other compilations
by respected independent labels THREE ONE G and GSL.
He is founder and curator of THIS IS NOT A PHOTOGRAPH: The Sound and
Fury of San Diego Sonic Photography series and has exhibited
his photos on a regular basis since 2003. He has been a resident of San Diego
since birth
and
is currently
a member of the Voltaire
Consort Space, which he uses as a studio.
